How it works at AB Health Solutions:

Genomic sequencing looks at a your DNA to find inherited changes that can raise cancer risk. Out test uses a mouth swab sample, to compare your gene sequence to known cancer-related genes (e.g. BRCA1, BRCA2, or TP53). If a harmful variant is found, it does not mean you will definitely get cancer, but it can show a higher inherited risk. This information is important to guide treatment and guide future screening.

Our process is simple and non invasive, is low cost and you get your results within three weeks of our laboratory receiving your sample.

What does it cost?

The cost is based on your location (shipping is included in the kit cost) and the same for all of our genomic panels.

Example kit cost for someone in mainland Europe is €40.

The test cost is €559, so someone in Europe pays €599 irrespective of panel.

How do you get access to this test?

This is for people with a tumour diagnosis. If this applies to you, please complete the form linked below.

We send you payment information for the kit that will be shipped to you via DHL (with tracking) once payment has been made. If you pay for both kit and test immediately we will discount the total by €9.

How do you collect the sample?

The sample is collected using a ‘buccal' swab’. The process is similar to wiping a tooth brush around the inside of your cheeks and then putting it in the tube provided.

We ask you to complete a form that includes information about your diagnosis and provides information about how your sample and data are processed.

Next Steps:

You place the tube with your sample and the completed form into the pre-paid shipping material we provide and drop it off at your nearest DHL location.

When we receive your package, we check the contents and forward the sample to the testing lab.

When the results are available, we send them to you using an encrypted email.

If you would prefer not to have your genetic data sent electronically, there is a check box on the form we send in the collection kit. This will add a few days and €10 for postage and packaging.

What if you decide to cancel the test?

The kits are built to order, so not refundable once ordered. If you have paid in full for both kit and test, we will refund the cost of the test at any time in full prior to us receiving your sample. Refunds will be via bank transfer within a week, so please provide an international bank account number (IBAN) when canceling a test. To prevent fraud, please use the email address used for ordering a kit and ensure that the account is in your name (we must follow money laundering prevention procedures).
